which is like now. yeah i know it's late but busy busy
Hard to disagree with either of your previous two posts.

Of course some of Hancock's WhatsApp messages of the time give a different picture.

"I was pushing hard for interventions"

WhatsApp from him at the time saying "we're better prepared than other countries"
Have you considered stupidity as an explanation

A more nuanced view From the Gaurdian
Keith eyed up Hancock. Let’s start with Pandemic Diaries. The elephant in the room. Best to get them out of the way. How could he put this delicately? They weren’t actually diaries, were they? They weren’t written contemporaneously. They were just scraps of messages, things that Door Matt would have liked to be true. Would it not be best to file them under fiction?

Absolutely not, insisted Hancock. Because they were imaginary, they were a better depiction of the truth than reality. A higher truth.

Watching Boris Johnson give evidence. I’m someone who often thinks that the ability to divine honesty from body language is often overstated but in this particular case I believe Boris Johnson was sh.tting himself when asked about missing WhatsApps

And it gets worse as a bit later on he tries to imply he doesn’t know what a factory reset is and then there is this totally convincing explanation https://x.com/adamjschwarz/status/17323 ... 87045?s=61

He then discovered that even if he deleted messages, others 8n the conversation might release them to the inquiry.

And claiming ignorance of Cummings's view of Hancock.

Ah well, too late for Johnson. Maybe some of his ineptitude at technology is genuine.

His (actual) personal mobile phone number was at the bottom of a press release freely available on the web for ages (>15 years), so anything is possible.

I.e. it's all bollocks and a coverup. I'm surprised they've not been recovered yet and sincerely hope they are.

Former GCHQ head says the obvious.

Honestly, I'm surprised that senior government officials don't get given secure phones that have restricted ability to install apps on. The excuses from Sunak et al about changing their phones leading to lost messages makes it sound like they're all using personal phones which must be a f.cking security nightmare.
it's okay to say "I don't know"
