There appears to be an oral cancer drug that kills over seventy kinds of solid tumours, with minimal side-effects starting clincal trials now.

And in the same week as Trump being indicted?!!!?!!

It still need to be replicated in humans. Having cared for someone going through chemo I hope it's not a damp squib and that they've cracked it.

Yes, it still needs human trials. But it does work in animal models, which is a definite step beyond in vitro.

Bearing in mind that whatever biochem I knew is approaching 50 years out of date, this seems a bit less positive

I had a glance through the article and didn't see anything that amounted to a claim that they had cured anything, just the usual survival time extension.
