In case you’re asking a question it looks like a probably deliberate confusion about terminology. The Wiki las a long list of words for different gender identities:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_gender_identities
I can’t be bothered to count them but there could be something like seventy-two of them. I expect there are similar lists elsewhere.
However, a lot seem to be different ways to describe the same basic identity.
No idea what’s being taught in schools.

Is this a kind of
200 words for snow myth?

I’m not sure about that. As I understand it the snow myth comes from misunderstanding a language’s use of suffixes, prefixes and compound words (which gave the appearance of a much richer vocabulary compared to English). Whereas the long list on the Wiki seems to be explained by different groups of people coming up with different words for similar ideas.

Has Sunak been rummaging in the b.llsh.t outrage bin and found this under an old copy of Winterval?
I thought this was about ten years ago's moral panic, wasn't it? I remember it from bl..dy ages ago. The kids were still in school but it can't have been so long ago that we didn't have the tories so about a decade I reckon.

The possible origin of the 72 genders in schools claim - from 2023.
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/202 ... en-reports
The investigation found that a child had asked how many genders there were and the speaker, who had been invited as a guest to talk about “gender-neutral language and the concept of gender in the LGBTQ+ environment”, responded that there could be as many as 72 gender identities.
Later, a child was briefly taken outside the classroom by a teacher to “remind the pupil of the school’s expectations that all pupils are entitled to their own opinions, and that they do not have to agree with a guest speaker, but they do have to show respect”.

I really don't mind whatever gender identity someone chooses to be or innately is. All fine by me.
However, the list of 72 or more choices
A) should not be something everyone is forced to learn and also comply with the long lists of associated pronouns under penalty if law
B) should not be a source of fear and hate and discrimination or violence
Both the left and right have staked out areas of extreme stupidity as hills to die on during the last stands of their culture wars. When in reality it just doesn't really matter much at all if you're willing to live and let live.
As Bill Maher said "all this talk about sex isn't good for either of our 71 genders"
Personally, your choice of a long list of genders is not a question I'm ever likely to ask you. It doesn't change anything and isn't of any importance to the rest of my day.
I would ask that if I happen to use "they" or "them" as a pronoun in a respectful manner that I not be charged with a f.cking hate crime.

The main lesson kids should be taught is tolerance and that it's OK to be you, whoever that is. Live and let live.
If kids don't get a positive message at school or at home they will a)be very miserable and f.cked up b)find their answers and allies online so not teaching them won't stop them being who they are.
So the proposals are both inhumane and futile.
But of course that kind of message doesn't get the electorate riled up.

So not the UK then. Brilliant. f.ck me, Sunak really is a pathetic tiny c.nt.

The biggest difference between my kids generation of schooling and my own is they are absolutely 100% on board with tolerance and inclusion. It's remarkable how abrupt that change was.
Remember Armstrong & Miller's running sketch about the spitfire pilots who talk like modern teenagers? That's gone out of date really fast. I was watching a compilation just the other day and was reminded how often stuff like
"Yeah but is you gay though?" was used as a put-down. That was only 15 years ago but it's the jokes of a previous generation and getting toward the toe-curling stage.

Yeah it’s daft then gender identity won’t be taught in schools. It should be. Schools a already teach contested ideas in Religious Education in a way that’s sensitive to pupils who are religious and not religious (or at least they should) so there’s no reason they can’t do similar with this.

Yep. My teenagers are pretty chill about most things, as are their peers (I'm hoping I helped with that somewhat). The culture wars really aren't working on the young folk. The Tories trying to shore up their votes by stealing the Kipper/Reform platforms may keep some votes for them in the short term, but it's mainly older a..eholes who are a dying demographic. All it will do is cement the idea that the Tories are a bunch of heartless bastards.

Interesting that UK teenagers seem to be very egalitarian. In Europe (from Portugal, through the Netherlands to Norway) and in the US it seems that young men in particular have become more right wing. For example incels radicalized by social media.

There are teenagers here who respond to the Andrew Tate stuff, etc, we are aware of friends with such. It may be difficult to assess the extent of it.

My sample population is nearly entirely female, so may be skewed. But the few male adolsecents and young men I know haven't voice much in the way of support for Andrew Tate and friends.
