Finger length ratio

Everyone knows the ratio of length of the ring and index fingers is about testosterone, right? In fact, there's very little solid evidence of any significant meaning that can be drawn from data, which itself is not always reliable.

To within a finger-nail, mine are the same length.
What does this mean?

Sad to see that yet another widely cited finding isn't being replicated.

That's because TB makes them sign an NDA

My left hand ring finger is longer, right hand the same length. Does this mean I'm confused?

On my left hand my, my 4th finger is longer, on my right hand it is my 2nd finger that is longer.

It is clear I am a freak.

Same. I'm right handed although left handed on the punchbag for some reason.

I'm the other way around. And I'm left handed.

Holding my hands together, my middle, ring and little fingers are the same length on each hand. But the thumb and index finger on my left hand are about half an inch longer than the right.

How is this measured, because I think it can be very easy to get wrong.

I think my index/ring fingers are almost the same length, but I'm not totally sure:

I'm not sure. It makes a difference if you look at the back or front of the hand too.

Indeed. These differences are about 1 mm, so you can't just give someone a ruler from WH Smiths and let them get on with it. You need decent callipers and a precise protocol for exactly what you're measuring and under what conditions. And the measurer should be blinded, which seems like a challenge.

Presumably they should be digital calipers.
