Parenting and teaching kids about consent - split from Misogyny legislation

Not entirely sure what relevance this has to the thread (might split if there's an ongoing discussion) but I reckon that had the same parent told their kids they had to do stuff 'because I say so' they may well have run into similar issues. Kids test boundaries no? I dunno, I'm not a parent. But possibly it's easier to spot 'problems' if you try to do things differently to how they were perceived to have been done in the past, or the status quo.

If they don't have to wash when they come in covered I mud, then equally you don't have to let them in the house?

Or hose them down outside. They need to learn that choices have consequences.
