Just been to the Versailles: Science and Splendour exhibition at the Science Museum in South Kensington. I can highly recommend it.
It covers the reigns of Louis XIV, XV & XVI, so surprisingly few compared to UK monarchs covering that era. but the early parts coincide with the big names from the Royal Society, such as Boyle, Hooke, Halley and Newton.
Probably thanks to the early influence of Madame de Pompadour there were more significant women than a similar history of early UK science would have included.
