Oh ffs. Also blocks out common sense, rational thought and scientific evidence.
It would only be a Faraday cage if it was properly conductive and completely surrounded the head. I think. A beanie is more like a collector, like a satellite dish. Focussing all the “radiation” into the centre of the brain.IvanV wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 12:37 pm A snip at £75 + p&p. It's got silver fibres woven in.
I wonder if that's actual elemental silver, or are they just coloured silver? I discover that "silver fibre" is fibre containing nano-particles of elemental silver (ie, not very much - is it enough to create a Faraday cage?), which is more usually incorporated in clothing for its anti-odour, anti-bacterial, etc, properties.
You can also get a scarf (£105) and gloves (£50). And a sleeve for your phone (£65) - does that mean you can experience your phone being switched off, without it being switched off?
And for ultimate protection, you can you can buy the Blueshield Premium Cube for just £839. It emits frequencies. These are very special frequencies that counteract the effects of all those external frequencies and electromagnetic fields that you don't want! Isn't that so clever?
Elsewhere, numerous other Faraday cage beanies containing silver fibre are sold at much more modest prices.
Particularly when the strongest source is quite likely in front of your face.Grumble wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 2:19 pmIt would only be a Faraday cage if it was properly conductive and completely surrounded the head. Surely then what is needed is a viking helmet with full face chainmail - and just small cutouts for eyes?dyqik wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 3:12 pmParticularly when the strongest source is quite likely in front of your face.Grumble wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 2:19 pm It would only be a Faraday cage if it was properly conductive and completely surrounded the head. Possibly a chainmail onesie.bob sterman wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 4:01 pmSurely then what is needed is a viking helmet with full face chainmail - and just small cutouts for eyes?dyqik wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 3:12 pmParticularly when the strongest source is quite likely in front of your face.Grumble wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 2:19 pm It would only be a Faraday cage if it was properly conductive and completely surrounded the head.
