"Bung a bob" for a worthwhile cause

Johnson wanted us to "Bung a bob for the bells to bong" at the end of the month. Bollocks to that I say.
So where can I bung a bob where it's going to make a difference?
Any suggestions?

Someone's set up a fake Big Ben Bongs page that donates money to food banks.
But this report in the Guardian reflects what a close friend of mine who works as a "giver" of money to charities - affluent areas have the best fundraisers and also a sense of entitlement that draws a lot of charitable funding in.
So if you want bang for your buck, give to a local unfashionable charity in a deprived area.

Mark Francois has backed it apparently, so perhaps some kind of homeless veterans charity, to make a point?

Some of the papers are reporting that the money raised can't be used for the Bong Fest cos of Rules and that it is all the fault of The Speaker and The Remainers. (Even to the point of 'well even if it is true it's not vey nice of the nasty Speaker to spoil Our Great British Exit Party').
The Speaker has been reported as replying that it is against the rules and that Boris should of had asked first cos if he had done he would have been so tolled.

There's a
Just Giving to donate to Crisis instead. Nearly at £14k of the £500k target.

A 'bob' is a shilling in old money isn't it?
Therefore 5p.
So a mere ten million donations of a bob would come to half a million nicker.

Just tell them it rang, and play some old video on the news.
99.9% would never find out unless the media tried to use it to stir up pointless outrage.

You must at least pay some virtualityprovider to generate proper Full-HD reporting with Hi-Fi sound. Else not even believers will believe.

Johnson lying again
Asked about the idea, the PM’s spokesman said: “If the public want Big Ben to bong, and the money is raised then that is great. We will make sure that whatever happens in regard to Big Ben’s bongs, 31 January is properly marked. It is a significant moment in our history.”
Pressed on whether an official plan actually existed, he said: “There isn’t a specific government fund.”
