Of course the saddest irony is if you climbed into a Tardis and travelled back to the long-ago time of 12th December 2019 to tell yourself "Watch out! That Johnson is a liar and a law-breaker!", hand on heart your past self reply would be along the lines of "Well no sh.t, Sherlock. Whaddya mean you haven't brought next week's lottery numbers with you? Now why are babbling on about Chinese bats FFS?".

TBH you could even travel back to 1998 and plonk yourself on the sofa next to your very startled, very young past-self and say "You see that bloke with the stupid hair who Ian Hislop is taking the piss out of? Yeah it's an old green screen trick, they give Kirsty Wark something to maintain her eye-line with and then use CGI to insert Fay Jones afterwards.

The VFX look fine but it looks like they ballsed up the audio and have accidentally left the placeholder sound track of the sound engineer just making random meaningless noises to allow Kirsty to time her responses correctly. It's all very clever.
