Biden is nothing like the debate. A couple of silly gaffes, classic Biden, that everyone will talk about. But everything else is intelligent and competent.

The usual stumbling over words and a tendency to ramble a bit - but that's more because there's too much he wants to say.

He certainly knows foreign policy and unites the Nato allies.
Yeah, but right now it's the gaffes that are important.

No, it wasn't that bad.

That journalist is just another idiot who confuses intelligence and articulacy. President Biden's answers were always intelligent and never articulate.

Unfortunately the voters are idiots in the same way. Biden is finished because everyone points at the 3 second gaffe and doesn't bother to listen to the 3 minute analysis of the Gsza situation.

It is John Crace's job to be scathing.

Well then he should have been scathing about the president restricting Ukraine’s use of long range missiles or his failure to supply food to Gaza.

Not scathing about ungrammatical sentences.

The media has become irredeemably shallow. Completely lost in style, forgotten about substance.

I wonder who they will blame when Trump shuts them all down.

Anyone but themselves. After all, the media has no choice or agency in how it writes stories or presents them. At the same time, they are a critical guard on democracy, and definitely can't be replaced with a simple AI or script.

Sorry that wasn't really aimed at you, it was more of a comment that of course he's going to be scathing because that's how he earns his living. Not disagreeing with your point though.

Florida stolen documents case dismissed.

Not sure it matters any more. Was never going to happen before the election, President Trump would have squashed it in January.

It was dismissed on the basis that Jack Smith was illegally appointed and funded despite the face the most of the legal pundits have said it wouldn’t happen because he wasn’t illegally appointed and funded

This case was already dead in the water in terms of its relevance, as that partisan judge had already ensured. Maybe she won't even get a fight over dismissing it on such flimsy grounds. Maybe recent heavily partisan judgments by SCOTUS have emboldened her.

If the higher courts agree, then Hunter Biden's conviction is also overturned, and almost all of the Jan 6th cases. Letting drug addict gunowners and violent criminals back onto the streets will surely help Trump's election chances...

I’m sure they will involve some motivated reasoning to exonerate Trump and get Hunter the chair

Sure I remember some people, possibly just the Cog Diss guys, talking about how it was such a slam dunk case that choosing to file it in the court of a Trump appointee was a power move.

And a puppet of Peter Thiel.

It's certainly not an appointment that expands Trump's appeal - it's not going to help with women, latinos or blacks. Plus Vance has pissed off a lot of people in Appalachia.

It is intended to win MI and PA.

The purpose of the VP candidate is to attack the other side's Presidential candidate and to win a key state or key part of the coalition. Vance is ideal for both tasks.

I don't see how a millionaire silicon valley elitist helps with that.

I thought pretty much all of Pennsylvania was in Appalachia, because that's where the mountains go. It turns out it's more complicated than that and lots of people have ideas about that sort of thing.

But I did find out that for some definitions, I am in Appalachia, which I'm pretty sure is stretching things a bit.

You really do need to learn to stop referring to reality.

Reality has nothing to do with it.

Ok. People from Pennsylvania and Michigan hate people from Ohio.
