So how do we attract people who weren't there?

Hopefully there's a good set of private connections with the stars who moved off for reasons of their own, inc FB and Twitter etc. Those who know them can pass the message on that there's a new home, all shiney and friendly.

How about attracting even newer people who never knew what they'd missed? Any suggestions for clever things to post publicly that might lure new minds?

As well as hoping that many of those who are no longer at the old forum come back and join us here, we are of course hoping for fresh meat new blood new contributors here too. We'd like this forum to keep a lot of the ruggedness where it's good, but have the flexibility that didn't exist in the other place to keep it friendly. Hopefully we can get the balance right and keep it an attractive place to be.

If anyone knows anyone who would be a welcome member here - and we hope to get a diverse bunch as well, so please do cast the net widely, then please share the link and encourage them to join, whether that's on facebook, twitter, or wherever else.

I think having a blog sit along side the forum will add hugely. Makes scrutable much broader in scope. Who actually blogs/writes articles is moot.
