I don’t expect Trumps press conference to go smoothly. Accidentally booking it at a garden centre can’t have helped.

The press conference appears to have been delayed.

Not least due to cars with Black Lives Matter and Biden Harris flags driving by cheering.

I haven't relaxed in a political sense for at least the last 10 years. But I haven't seen anything to make me doubt the integrity of the US electoral system, so I think we can allow ourselves to feel at least a little bit good about this.

My flat mate, who is from Texas just banged on my door in tears, happy that she doesn't have to give up her citizenship. Had Trump been re-elected she would have renounced it.

But it's worrying to think that the margins are so narrow that if it weren't for Trump's catastrophic handling of COVID that there's a very real chance he would have got a 2nd term
