It’s not a gotcha. It was shoddy reporting and amplification of that in a scaremongering way. There is now better reporting on what actually happened. It doesn’t help anyone to spread nonsense.
Clearly, 'a gotcha' is too simple a term for someone like you; so you'd rather describe it as 'shoddy reporting and amplification of that in a scaremongering way' as if that makes a difference to the dumb and dumber Reform enablers who have been lied to about 'lefty maniacs putting trans books in kiddy libraries'
I don't know how many trans people you know, but a hell a lot of them are seriously worried at the way the trans environment is changing.

The small and the big things combine to make life unpleasant and hostile for trans people, such as one person seeing a trans book at the entrance of the library, and deciding that was so objectionable they had to do something about it, that resulted in the book no longer being part of the display there.
That Reform did their Trump-esque "We're banning woke" b.llsh.t says something about where we are politically, where councillors think it's acceptable to gloat about this stuff.
It makes me sad that it's this ugly.
Worse is that they've spread the lie that there are 'trans books' in the children's library. It's not a f.cking 'gotcha' that there weren't actually any such books, the c.nts at Reform have put that in the heads of their dumb and dumber followers.
And any c.nt who thinks it's a 'gotcha' can still be validly seen as a Reform enabling c.nt.

The problem Tris is none of us believe that you care about trans people or helping them.

Also, I suspect he's one of the c.nts that thinks that Ricky Gervais is a master of comedy and not someone happy to punch down on trans people. And a bully (Gervais, not Tris)

Ince has spoken about the bullying he experienced when touring with Gervais

That’ll be your simplistic black and white thinking there Stephanie. You might want to reflect on that.

Gervais was probably a bit of an a..eh.le there, but f.ck me Ince needs to grow a pair and stop being so whiney. He feels like he’s missed out on the career he always deserved but hasn’t put the actual work into getting it that others have. It’s made him bitter and resentful and unable to reflect on his own part in it.
He recently posted about this, asking why he didn’t get offers of the back of Infinite Monkey Cage. The responses were pretty much all sycophantic things along the lines of “it’s so unfair that you don’t have a TV series about touring the UK’s bookshops” etc. When it was gently asked how much pitching he was doing, how many agents he was talking to, what areas of current interest from broadcasters he was trying to tie into, and what different formats he’d considered, he deleted the whole thread.

Jeez, you really aren't helping your argument here.
