Y’know, if I heard “Donald Trump today pulled off his skin, to reveal Mickey Mouse underneath” or “Donald Trump owned the libs today by m.st.rbating furiously over a walrus”, I wouldn’t even bother fact checking it. I’d just take as true.

Trump's recent behaviour seems to me to be of a different kind than usual. I had always classed him as a boorish and ignorant malignant narcissist. But his expletive filled rant on Sunday, his description of having made Mohammed bin Salman "kiss my ass" and the comment to the Saudi investment forum that they could ask any question including about sex, and of course the increasing threats of murderous violence, suggest significant disinhibition, consistent with prefrontal dementia. If this is the case (and IANA psychiatrist) then these behaviours will be even more obvious in his closer official circles.

US officials in the past kept presidents' ailments hidden, the most recent being Reagan's mental decline at the end of his term. However, we're now in a world 24-hour news and social media scrutiny with a president who likes being seen on both. So we'll see how it goes...

Trump has just declared a ceasefire for 2 weeks because the Prime Minister of Pakistan asked him to. Obviously, Trump has become bored with this excursion into Iran, because it hasn't made him look the strong military genius he was aiming for. Instead the war was eating away at his base.
